Wickenburg Ranch Golf & Social Club

Overall Ranking: #4

Wickenburg Ranch is a new course which opened in 2015 is one of the finest public courses in Arizona. The course is maintained at the highest level, due to new home construction and deep pockets by developers. This is great news for out of town travelers looking for a private golf experience offered to public play. The course offers bent grass greens, which is a treat for all golfers and abilities. Bent grass is the highest standard in putting surfaces throughout the world. The course design is quirky in spots, but overall a great layout. The terrain is superb and offers golfers a Sonoran Desert treat, accompanied with washes and scenery for miles on end. The clubhouse is modern and overlooks the entire course and food is exceptional. The only downside to this course is the drive from Phoenix (75 miles west of Scottsdale). Wickenburg is located 1.5 hours from the east valley, so plan on drive times of 1 hour plus. This course is perfect when playing Quintero (see review below), which is on the way from the Phoenix area.
